
About the Role
Position Summary:
As a Value Based Healthcare Consultant at Acorn Research, you will be responsible for developing, analyzing, and implementing value-based care strategies that align with our client’s goals and the evolving healthcare landscape. You will work closely with stakeholders across clinical, financial, and operational domains to drive initiatives that improve patient outcomes, enhance efficiency, and reduce costs. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and a passion for healthcare transformation.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Analysis & Planning:
Assess current healthcare delivery models and identify opportunities for value-based improvements.
Conduct comprehensive analyses of clinical, financial, and operational data to inform strategy development.
Develop business cases and ROI models for proposed value-based initiatives.
Consulting & Advisory:
Collaborate with healthcare providers, payers, and internal teams to design and implement value-based care strategies.
Advise clients on best practices, regulatory requirements, and emerging trends in value-based care.
Provide expert recommendations on policy, process, and technology enhancements to drive sustainable change.
Project Management:
Lead cross-functional project teams to deliver high-impact healthcare transformation initiatives.
Manage timelines, resources, and deliverables, ensuring projects remain on track and meet client expectations.
Monitor project outcomes and report on key performance indicators and metrics.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication:
Facilitate workshops, presentations, and meetings with senior executives and clinical leaders.
Develop clear, data-driven reports and presentations to communicate findings, recommendations, and progress.
Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, maintaining strong, long-term relationships.
Research & Innovation:
Stay current on industry trends, regulatory changes, and technological advancements impacting value-based care.
Identify opportunities for innovation and integrate cutting-edge practices into client solutions.
Contribute to thought leadership by publishing white papers, case studies, and participating in industry events.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Business, Economics, or a related field is required; Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in healthcare consulting, with a focus on value-based care, population health, or related fields.
Proven track record of designing and implementing value-based initiatives in complex healthcare environments.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Tableau) and a strong analytical aptitude.
Familiarity with healthcare IT systems and electronic health records (EHR) is a plus.
Soft Skills:
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Strong problem-solving abilities with a strategic, results-driven mindset.
Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Certifications:
Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality, Lean Six Sigma) are advantageous.
